<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">CA125 12.3 (before 96.9).</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen) 8.5 (from 138.4).</p>
<p data-start="375" data-end="473">These are all <strong data-start="389" data-end="408">large decreases</strong>, and now close to or within normal range. That usually suggests:</p>
<ul data-start="474" data-end="558">
<li data-section-id="1lwmql3" data-start="474" data-end="504">Good response to treatment</li>
<li data-section-id="1s3f0du" data-start="505" data-end="558">Reduced tumor activity (depending on her diagnosis)</li>

Doctor paused Gefitinib for 2 weeks given mom's complaint of side effects (weight loss, loss of appetite, hair loss, skin rash, greenish crust around nose, dry lip, diarrhea, etc.)</p>
<p>During my visit in February, 2026, mom didn't eat well. She only ate a few spoons of plain food each meal because she said stomach can't take oily foods.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>The result from September 18th, 2025 showed CEA dropped from 140 to 139, but CA 125 increased from 53 to 130.</p>
<p>Pathology report showed doctor noted Lung Adenocarcinoma Stage 4. That's when they prescribed Gefitinib 250mg.</p>

<p>Lesion #1:</p>
<p>Location: Left peripheral zone at apex level.</p>
<p>Category: 4</p>

<p>Lesion #2:</p>
<p>Location: Left transitional zone posterior at mid gland level.</p>
<p>Category: 2</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Impression:</p>
<p>Left prostatic carcinoma.</p>
<p>No extracapsular extension.</p>
<p>No nodal or distance metastasis.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>He didn't receive HIFU treatment free of charge as initially told, but now has to pay out of pocket for it.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>Elevated CA125 and CEA is concerning as of late. Dr thinks the cysts do not contribute to tumor markers rise. We do not know what is causing the rise of tumor markers.</p>]]></content:encoded>
