I need to write down the timeline in order to remember and track progress.

May 2nd, 2023 - blood test

May 16th, 2023 - doctor appointment (cholesterol went up from 7 to 7.4mg/dl)

July 2nd, 2023 - blood test

July 20th, 2023 - PSA 5.79 vs 5.2 in April blood test

Nov 17th, 2023 - MRI

Dec 4th, 2023 - MRI report (Dr had suspicion from report, advised to do prostate biopsy)

Jan 16th, 2024 - Biopsy at private hospital (lots of bleeding at first)

Feb 13th, 2024 - IHC report (< 5% cancer tumor size, Gleason score 3+4=7 grade)

Feb 19th, 2024 - Urologist and superior advised active surveillance and have PSA test in 3 months and monitor.

Apr 30th, 2024 - blood test

May 14th, 2024 - urologist appointment (PSA 6.76 vs 6.59 in Jan 2024) Dr said very slow increase unless PSA above 10.

Jul 30th, 2024 - PSA blood test

Aug 13th, 2024 - PSA results

It was discovered in a routine blood test. Upon CT scan, the doctor found a mass in her right lung. After a biopsy and PET scan, they confirmed in was cancer. We immediately scheduled her for a surgery to remove the cancerous lung mass. She underwent a lobectomy operation. The oncology doctor recommended 3 options for adjuvant treatment post-surgery:

  1. Chemo - 4 rounds of chemotherapy
  2. Oral treatment - requires taking Tagrisso medication for up to 3 years, if EGFR DNA mutation test is positive
  3. Immunotherapy - with PDL1 test

Options #2 and #3 were too expensive without medical insurance, so that leaves us with only chemo as the only option for adjuvant treatment in order to lower chances of recurrence.

It's been 3 months after her lobectomy surgery, she still did not start the chemo yet. Does anyone else have experience in any of the adjuvant treatments?
